Miscelaneous S-100 items for sale

This page Last updated Sept 20 2007. Check my S-100 home page links to all my S-100 Web pages.

I have a variety of S-100 cards and related items available. As time permits, I will inventory and price them. You are welcome to ask about specific cards you are looking for. Describe them by manufacturer and model: you will have less luck with me if you ask for a type or function (serial, hard drive, etc), and NO luck if you just request "a list". I have a inventory of many individual cards, too many to list and describe, but generally sorted by brand. Some items I have available are listed or linked below.

For diskette drives, diskettes, controllers and drive manuals, check my section on disks. For S-100 and related manuals, go back to my S-100 page and look at my list of S-100 manufacturers and their documentation. Also check my S-100 and related books and magazines section for books and magazines I have on the personal computers of the '70's and '80's.

Ordering information can be found in this notice.

S-100 bus extender cards

$49 simple bus extender, a connector at the top of a card full of
lines to the edge connector below. Various manufacturers.

IMSAI front panel switches

Here's some UNUSED IMSAI switches - originals from C&K, not copies!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

$5 each C&K toggle switches, identical to the ones purchased by IMSAI
$4 w/o for the IMSAI 8080, with RED, not BLUE, plastic levers. These are
red the "address" switches, *NEW UNUSED*. (These will not work as
cap the "control" switches as they do not have a center position.)
The caps can be removed with care and used seperately.

            seperately.

Floating point chips

Intel and AMD made two compatible models of floating-point processor chips. These chips used a simple protocol to accept data and floating point instructions, to produce a result. They were intended to supplement a microprocessor and accessed as an I/O location. One chip used an IEEE floating point standard, one used another standard. Also, some chips ran from a 1MHz clock, some a 2MHz clock. These chips were available for many years, but always sold commercially above $100 each. In 2007, these chips are likely worth something like $50 each for use. (I don't know if a "chip collector" would pay more, for specific models and physical features, etc.)

The Compupro System Support 1 (SS1) card and a TDL card supported these chips. Pascal MT+ software had an option to use the AMD chip. The Apple Lisa 2 had a socket for the AMD chip. We will update this information if you have some to provide. We have a few of these chips available, but not for cheap. They have been TESTED on a Compupro system. Ask for price and availability.

AMD 9511A - compatible with 8231
AMD 9512 - compatible with 8232
Intel 8231, 8231A - non-IEEE floating point format, supported sine, cosine, tangent, etc.
Intel 8232 - IEEE floating point but no sine, cosine, tan, etc.

AMD and Intel data sheets available, ask for photocopy, specify brand and model
