Look at my G3, G4 and later Macs page for later model laptops.
On this page I have a variety of pre-G3 68K Mac laptops and their parts. We are selling pre-G3 68K Mac laptops off AS IS for parts at low prices, because customers simply won't pay more. Battery, A/C supply, "power cord" are sold seperately - look for them elsewhere on this page. Laptops sold AS IS NO WARRENTY UNLESS NOTED. Units may or may not have all the features (memory, drives) mentioned, they will not be tested again. As of April 2010 we will dispose of these laptops - period. Consider making an offer for MORE THAN ONE, I won't bother to sell one laptop for $5 or $10.
In addition, I have some unused laptop parts from a repair facility on another page. They are mostly internal cables, some plastic parts, and a few circuit boards (inverters, etc.). Check that page for details.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING. These laptops, made before the G3, are sold AS IS NO WARRENTY for $15 each plus shipping and packing. Shipping will likely cost about $15 for one within the USA, and several dollars per for more than one. No further testing, you are buying these for parts and for your own repairs. Units may not have memory or hard drive as described. AC supplies and batteries are available seperately.
Powerbook 100. Cracked screen, did not power up.
PowerBook 165 (68030 33MHz, B&W 4-bit 640X400 display), 4MB RAM, removed HD. Some display problems due to dirty contrast switch but boots up when previously tested. Last tested Feb 2009.
PowerBook 165 (68030 33MHz, B&W 4-bit 640X400 display), 4MB RAM, removed HD. Also, internal modem, Global Village Gold, not tested. Works OK, boots when previously tested. bottom half of screen shows "echo" of top half, some vertical bars, difficult to read, source of problem unknown. Last tested Feb 2009.
Powerbook 520 (68LC040 50MHz processor, 640 X 480 4-bit B&W screen). 10 Mb RAM, no hard drive, boots and works and displays OK when previously tested.
Powerbook 520 (68LC040 50MHz processor, 640 X 480 4-bit B&W screen). 20 Mb RAM, no hard drive, Boots and runs OK, good floppy drive. The display is OK.
Powerbook 520 (68LC040 50MHz processor, 640 X 480 4-bit B&W screen). 12 Mb RAM, no hard drive boots OK the display is OK when previously tested.
Powerbook 190cs (68LC040 66MHz processor, 640 x 480 8-bit color screen) 24MB RAM, no hard drive. Two PC card slots. Has bad hinges but opens with care. Boots, displays, runs OK when previously tested.
Powerbook 5300cs (603e PowerPC 100MHz processor, 640 X 480 256 color screen). 8 Mb RAM, noss hard drive, with OS 8. Hinge covers loose in the usual fashion for this model. Also makes a poor connection with the A/C adapter; but boots and runs when previously tested. Last tested May 2007.
Powerbook Duo 230 (68030 33MHz, 640 X 400 4-bit B&W display) 4Mb RAM, no hard drive. Works OK, screen works but has areas of physical damage - usable. may have modem, good cosmetic condition. Boots when tested May 2009. 4 lbs wt.
Powerbook Duo 210 (68030 ??MHz, B&W display) 12Mb RAM, no hard drive. Works OK, screen looks OK, boots when previously tested May 2009, good cosmetic condition. 4 lbs wt.
Additionally, the following laptops are reduced to parts, partial laptops. Available for parts only. Ask about parts but identify them specifically.
Powerbook 145b, PowerBook 165, Powerbook 520, PARTED OUT. Keyboards, trackball, floppy, cables, mechanical parts, LCD screens. No part sold for less than $5 plus shipping, no shipping cost less than $5. Don't nickel-and-dime me please.

These may be informative. If you need an A/C power supply or power adapter, please tell me your laptop model,
and if you have an adapter please tell me the model number, DC voltage and DC current (like "DC 24V 1.5A", read

As of Sept 2009 we no longer offer any laptop batteries. Period.
Battery "parts" are the sliding covers that lock the battery inside your laptop. $2 each plus shipping.
For my reference, these parts are kept with "laptop parts #3".
Apple part no 922-1700, cover has part number "815-1240". For Powerbook 140, 170 batteries like M5417, M5654
Apple part no 922-0435, cover has part number "815-1452", for Duo battery M1499.
no part number, cover is for PowerBook 520 battery like M1906. Cover, button, spring. for $1, slide which covers battery terminals.
Duo battery charger M1812. Charges two Duo batteries, must
be attached to Duo A/C adapter M7783. We have one or two of these for
$10 each w/o A/C adapter.
For SCSI cables, some Macs use the typical Apple SCSI connector, a DB-25
25 pin connector. See my Mac hard drives section for
those cables. Some Mac laptops have a square connector with a lot of pins. This is
called the HDI-30 connector. Some laptops have a video connector.

HDI-30 to SCSI DB-25 female adapter. Small adapter for some laptop Macs, which converts the laptop SCSI to use with DB-25 male SCSI cable, just like the desktop Macs. $15 plus shipping. FIVE available.
Asante HDI-30 to SCSI DB-25 male/female connector pair. This cable often goes from the Asante or other SCSI to Ethernet adapter, to other SCSI devices, and to a Mac laptop SCSI connector. $15 plus shipping. THREE available.
